The Pratto, a splendid white wine, is the result of the famous winery Ca' dei Frati, located a couple of kilometers beyond the border between Veronese and Bresciano, in the heart of Lugana. Active since 1939, when the Del Cero family chose to leave Veneto to move to the shores of Lake Garda, in the estate then owned by the bishopric and known since 1782: “of a house with a cellar located in Lugana in the territory of Sirmione called the place of the Friars.”
The Pratto Ca' dei Frati is a wine made from a blend of white grapes deeply influenced by the particular microclimate of Sirmione, close to the southern shore of Lake Garda. The late harvest enhances the aromaticity of the grape for a harmonious and cohesive result: the concentrated and juicy fruit maintains a great balance with the acidity and mineral sapidity of the clayey limestone soil.
lychees, cedar, and honey, on a discreet background of vanilla and toasted notes, green and mineral hints. A highly effective impact that induces salivation, instilling the desire for tasting: on the palate it is warm, with a soft body, but intense and persistent, with an attack of rich sweetness, followed, after a balanced acidic and savory interlude, by a long finish, where the olfactory sensations of fruitiness and minerality return.
