Arribas Wine Company's Tinta Barroca 'A Gorda das Arribas' is an essential, terroir-driven red. It is the winery's first single-varietal, single-vineyard wine, made from a grape variety called 'Gorda' in the Douro. Very refined, it challenges its reputation as a 'rough wine' with whole bunch vinification, spontaneous fermentation and long ageing in wood and steel. Dark fruit, spices and mineral notes emerge on the nose, while the palate is dry, taut and progressive. It pairs well with meat and rustic cuisine such as roast lamb or legume stews
