The Brut Rosé from the Mosnel winery is a Franciacorta that comes from the wise union of three grape varieties that are very complementary to each other: Chardonnay, Pinot Nero, and Pinot Bianco. These three varieties are cultivated using the guyot system, within hilly vineyards characterized by a morainic subsoil, facing east and southeast. The grapes, once harvested during the vintage, ferment separately, and the Pinot Nero grapes briefly macerate on the skins; for 7 months, the grapes rest in steel, and for 20% of the total mass, in oak barrels, where malolactic fermentation also takes place. It then proceeds with the final assembly, and the wine undergoes a second fermentation in the bottle, according to the production principles of the Metodo Classico, where it remains in contact with its own yeasts for 24 months.
This Franciacorta Rosé Brut reveals itself to the eye with a light rosé color, crossed by a fine, subtle, and dynamic perlage. The aromas perceived on the nose are elegant and delicate, moving on a weave where small red fruits alternate with citrus peels. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, crunchy, with a pleasantly savory sip that ends with a finish of good persistence. A festive bubble, with which the Il Mosnel winery confirms itself as one of the most important production realities in all of Franciacorta, ideal to reserve for the sunniest and liveliest toasts.
