The Franciacorta Rosé "Francesco I" is a tribute to the king of France who first recognized the potential of the sparkling wine. It is obtained from an assembly of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir refermented in the bottle and aged with the yeasts for at least 36 months. The taste is soft, fresh and gentle, refreshed by fragrant aromas of red berries and citrus fruits with toasted hints and enlivened by an persistent and elegant bubble

The Franciacorta Rosé Brut “Francesco I” from the Uberti winery is the symbol of balance, not only in relation to its taste-olfactory profile but also in the harmony between man and nature. Uberti has always strongly believed in enhancing this territory and this denomination, Franciacorta, and constantly works towards achieving a harmonious agreement between the work of man in the vineyard and environmental needs. “Francesco I” is an essential component of the collection signed by Uberti. It is named after the King who ruled France in the first half of the 1500s and who was the first to encourage the production of a sparkling wine, commonly considered a result of a defect in winemaking.

The Brut Rosé “Francesco I” by Uberti is a Metodo Classico obtained from a blend that consists of 75% Chardonnay, 15% Pinot Nero, and 10% Pinot Bianco. The grapes used to create the base wine come from vineyards located in the areas of Erbusco, Adro, and Cazzago San Martino (specifically in localities Calino and Cologne). The soils in these areas are hilly, of morainic origin, rich in skeleton and minerals, dry and subjected to good ventilation that allows moisture to be removed. The vinification of the base wine takes place in steel containers and is preceded by a careful selection of the bunches. The refermentation in the bottle and subsequent aging on the lees lasts a total of 36 months, after which the wine waits for another 6 months in the bottle.

Uberti Brut Rosé “Francesco I” presents a pale pink color, enhanced by salmon reflections. The foam is abundant and persistent, as is its perlage, which enhances the olfactory profile marked by fruity aromas of strawberry, grapefruit, and a very light hint of cinnamon. On the palate, it is fresh, savory, and intense, with a delightful fruity finish. It does justice to the nobility of its name.
