The Champagne “Grand Vintage” by Moët & Chandon is one of the most prestigious and important expressions of the illustrious maison of Epernay. It is unique in its kind because it is the first to be conceived by the chef de cave Benoit Goeuz and because it is a vintage, meaning the result of grapes selected from a great year. Elegant and complex, it is a champagne that reflects the personality of the winery, capable, through its delicate aromas and superb structure, of winning over even the most skeptical tasters. In the silent and cool cellars, it spends more than 6 years in contact with the yeasts; time ennobles it and guarantees a full expressive maturity.
The Brut “Grand Vintage” perfectly combines the different characteristics of the three historic grape varieties used for the production of Champagne. Pinot Noir gives elegance and finesse, Chardonnay provides softness and body, and Pinot Meunier adds strength and structure: the result is this Grand Vintage, noble and seductive.
The color is a strong straw yellow, almost seems to emanate its own light, further enhanced by a lively and fine perlage. The aromatic profile is among the richest and most complex in the range, growing exponentially in the glass. Yellow fruit takes the lead, followed by floral nuances and light hints of yeast and pastry. On the palate, it is irresistible, a perfect combination of creaminess and freshness, softness and minerality, intensity and complexity: in short, a sip that is hard to forget!
